WATER TREATMENT PLANT

At Grauer and Weil, we design, manufacture, supply and erect a variety of Industrial Water Treatment Plants which include Softeners, Filters, Ultra Filtration (UF), Demineralization Plant (DM), Reverse Osmosis Plant (RO).

Application

Water treatment Plants include processes that improve the quality of water to make it appropriate for a specific end-use. The end use may be drinking, industrial water supply, irrigation, river flow maintenance, water recreation uses, including being safely returned to the environment. Water treatment removes contaminants and undesirable components from the water and reduces their concentration so that the water becomes fit for its desired end-use.

Ultra-filtration System

Ultrafiltration (UF) is a separation process driven on pressure. It is governed by a screening principle and is dependent on particle size. The pore size of ultra-filtration membranes ranges from 0.1 to 0.01 microns. Ultra-Filtrations range of filtration lies between microfiltration and nanofiltration. The membranes used in ultrafiltration require maintenance cleaning to prevent fouling with solids, scaling, and microbiological agents. Separated contaminants condensed in the UF must be disposed off. Typical Ultra-Filtration applications include: Treatment and recycling of wastewater and industrial process water Removal of particulates and macromolecules Standalone systems Filtration of paper pulp mill, Chemical, Pharma, Food beverage and many more industries effluent.

Reverse Osmosis (RO) Plant

Reverse Osmosis is a common process to purify or desalinate contaminated water by forcing water through a membrane. Water produced by reverse osmosis may be used for a variety of purposes, including desalination, wastewater treatment, concentration of contaminants, and the reclamation of dissolved minerals. Reverse Osmosis is used to purify water and remove salts and other impurities to improve the colour, taste, or properties of fluids

Demineralization (DM) Plant

Demineralization is the process of removing mineral salts from water by using ion exchange process. Demineralization utilizes both cation and anion exchange resins, sometimes even in the same column or bed. Mineral ions such as cations of sodium, calcium, iron, copper, etc. and anions such as chloride, sulphate, nitrate, etc. are common ions present in water. Demineralized Water also known as Deionized Water, is water that has its mineral ions removed. DM Water System produces mineral free Water by operating on the principles of ion exchange, Degasification, and Polishing. Demineralized Water System finds wide application in the field of steam, power, process, and cooling.
